Nikki's goal as a home schooling mother, author and illustrator is to support others in becoming aware of their God given "lights" and to encourage them to "let their lights shine!"

Nikki has a bachelor's degree in journalism and minors in art and Spanish from the University of Kansas. She went on to receive a master's degree in social work from Saint Louis University with training in art therapy. Nikki worked as a support worker, counselor and art therapist in the social service field for fifteen years and wrote in several professional newsletters along the way.
