This past weekend we went to the farm where the kids were able feed a baby calf from a bottle, jump on a trampoline, listen to their uncle tell farming stories, play cards with Grandpa, and perform a talent show with their cousins. It was delightful, in deed.
Today was back to the Monday routine of morning jobs, and going to our prayer group - where I pray with the ladies, and they play with a home school teenager who awaits their arrival. We all enjoy going and it's a great way to start the week.
A highlight
of our day today was reading our latest "Read a Loud", called
The Cricket in Times Square by George Selden. I believe that I am enjoying
it just as much as they are. We are learning about Chinatown, ancient Chinese
fables, Chinese rituals, Chinese food and crickets - or shall I say, "clickets"-
in the delightful Chinese accent that I get to tell it in. Then we spent
the afternoon at the park playing until 7pm. Springtime is here!
